June 17 (Bloomberg) — UBS AG’s wealth management unit said it favors stocks in emerging markets including China, India and Indonesia.

“Relatively speaking, we still like equities, particularly emerging-market equities,” Pu Yonghao, chief Asian investment strategist at UBS Wealth Management, said in a Bloomberg Television interview. “In Asia, China, Hong Kong, India and Indonesia all look interesting over the longer term.”

Markets may be affected in the “short term” by Europe’s debt crisis, China’s credit controls and Indonesia’s capital control capital measures, Pu said. These measures will “help over the longer term,” he also said.
